BOAT RIDE

Alphen aan den Rijn -your Studio- is located in the “Mid West lake district” of the Netherlands.
We can take you by boat to the canals of Leiden, Amsterdam or The Hague. Our longboat, Donna Theresa, is very comfortable and suits 6 passengers plus crew.

An example:
You embark from your Studio around 10 a.m. Iris and Peter take care of your journey, just bring your towel and your smile. We serve coffee- tea, wine, soft-drinks and snacks. We take the river Rijn to Leiderdorp and on to the city of Leiden. We cross small lakes and city-canals. After lunch (on board) we continue our trip to lake Wijde Aa (swimming area) and back to Alphen aan den Rijn. You will be home at around 4 p.m.

The trip to Leiden takes about 6 hours. With 4 passengers, including drinks and snack, costs are 65,= p/hrs. Lunch is 7,50 p/p. More passengers, special wishes, or another destination, By the way …. Donna Theresa only sails on sunny days.
